Full of Personality
It seems as if last week, Emma started talking all the time. I wonder where she gets that from? She is full of personality and notices everything. She is trying very hard to get her point across, especially when she needs something. Last week, she looked at me and said, "I sit." Off she went and sat down in her carseat in the garage. Another night we were catching up on Gray's Anatomy and I thought she was half asleep on my lap. Out of nowhere she said, "Boo Boo." I said, "Yes, I know. You have a boo boo on your knee." She points at the TV and says, "Boo Boo" Yes, the scene was full of people with bandages and blood. Can you believe that? Her newest obsession is tormenting the dogs. She is always trying to sit on them, pat them, pull their tails. They always move away, however, she chases after them. She has mastered telling them "sit", but still falls for their begging at meal times. Emma also loves to be outside. When she is outside she wants to be on the go. As soon as we get in the stroller or car she says, "Wee!" It is too funny. I can't wait to see what she comes up with this week!

SPRINKLER!
We couldn't keep her out of the sprinkler today, so the easiest thing to let her play in the water. That's what summer is all about, right?

She Knows What She Wants
I randomly asked Emma tonight, "Are you hungry?" knowing that I probably wouldn't get an answer from an 18 month old. She looked at me and said, "Cheese. Dog Dog. (Her word for Hot Dog) and ran to her high chair. While I was fixing the hot dog, she looked at me and said, "Mama. Dog Dog?" She is now stuffing the hot dog in her mouth with both hands. She sure knew what she wanted!

Hail Storm!
Last night we had a terrible hail storm. This might be one of the worst storms I have seen. I had Emma and the dogs in our small, center bathroom while I was closing blinds in case something flew through the window. As I looked out the window, I saw our patio furniture flying across the deck. It was like a scene from The Wizard of Oz. The hail was HUGE. There were pieces from the size of a golf ball to a softball
flying at our house. The hail shattered a window, punched a hole in another window frame, took chunks out of our fence and made many wholes in our siding. I am counting my blessings this morning that we are all ok and everything else will be handled by our insurance company. Good thing is that Emma wasn't scared at all. She was most upset that her dinner got pushed back!
