Emma's First Play Date

Emma is one lucky lady. She is one girl amongst many boys. In this circle of friends, there are 10 boys and only 4 girls (including Emma). She will be playing with cars and trucks before the dolls! Here is a photo of her first play day with the Drew, Luke, Quinn, Nick and Ben. Do you think she will still like hanging out with these guys when she is a teenager?

I Just Can't Help Myself!

Our dog, Lamont, just can't seem to help himself. As hard as he tries, he loves to steal Emma's pacifiers. We thought it was because the green ones smelled like vanilla, but now he takes them all. He knows he isn't supposed to do it. As soon as we say, "Drop it!", it falls out of his mouth. Most of the time, we are laughing too hard to tell him to stop.

Happy Third Birthday, Carter Wood!!

Happy Birthday! I can't believe my nephew is three today. He is such a big boy. He tried to tell me it wasn't his birthday and he was still two. I know that will all change when he sees his many gifts and his Bob the Bulider cake.
Carter, always remember, BIRTHDAYS ARE BIG!! :)

Four Generations

Priceless. That's the only word there is to describe introducing your baby to it's great-grandparents. On the left is me with my dad and his mother. Great-Grandma Imy loves to hold Emma. On the right is Matt with his mom and her father. Great-Grandpa Diggins took to calling her, "Little Devil." Emma is one lucky little girl to have all these loving people in her life.

Emma's First Christmas

She may have only been three weeks old, but we were trying to make some memories. Ok- maybe the memories were for mom and dad!

Emma's Homecoming

We brought home Emma on December 5. There was about 2-3 inches of snow on the ground. Matt drove so slow! We made it home safe and sound. Emma was snug in her I.U. outfit and the new afghan I knitted her. It was great to get her home!

Friends Forever

When my friend Kris and I shared with our friends that we were pregnant, we all joked that it would be funny if we had the babies on the same day. Well, our jokes came true! Quinn David Wu was born about 11 hours after Emma. We were just down the hall from each other at the hospital. It felt like the days at the sorority house being able to shuffle down the hall to visit. The nurses enjoyed the whole scene and always knew where to find us if we weren't in our rooms. Kris and I think Emma and Quinn will always be buddies (or maybe date in the future?).

It's a Girl!!

Emma Katherine was born on Monday, December 3, 2007, at 1:28am. She weighed in at 8 pounds, 2 ounces and was 21 and a quarter inches long. I was induced at about 7:00pm on December 2. My doctor said, "Ok! I will see you in the morning. Hopefully, we will have a baby by noon tomorrow. You know first time moms are in labor 14+ hours." Little did she know that she would not get too far from the hospital. Labor took only about 6 and a half hours! We are so grateful that Emma is finally here!
On the left we have the proud new family! On the right is Emma with her Papa shortly after she was born. She was so alert!

This is a test...

This is a test run of our Blog. I thought it was only appropriate to post a photo of one of our favorite places, the Rose Well House. This beautiful site is located on the campus of Indiana University. Legend has it that a lady is not a true co-ed until she has been kissed at midnight inside the Well House. Matt proposed to me here in December of 2004.
