Quotes in Our House

I have been been struggling to think of something clever to post. We haven't done anything exciting as of late and believe it or not, don't have any new pictures since our trip to the museum. However, I did realize that I could post something based on Emma's quotes the past few days. We've realized that we need to watch what we are saying and that she is growing up very fast! Here are some things I have heard the past couple of days (This is not edited. She really said these things):

  • "Mommy, Can I have a prize?" "Why do you think you should have one? "Um, Christmas?"
  • To the dogs- "Get back boys. Go in your houses."
  • To a friend at school- "Oh, Will. That is not nice."
  • "Emma, what did you do at school today?" "Miss Gabby went home early. She sick."
  • Confirming she watches too much TV- "Mommy? I want a Pillow Pet. A Lady Bug one."
  • Knocking on Matt's office door- "Daddy? Do you hear me? Daddy?"

As they say, from the mouth of babes!

Can He Fix It? Yes, He Can!

We hit the Children's Museum today to check out the new Bob the Builder exhibit. It did not disappoint. Emma was so excited she squealed, "Oh, Boy!" when we walked through the doors (Of course, that is what I said when I saw the new Barbie exhibit). Bob the Builder and all his friends kept Emma very busy. To top off the day, we ran into her school buddy, Paige. They ran around each other a couple of times, giggling, not really knowing what to do. They finally climbed on the bulldozer and had a blast. Our membership to the museum was a great investment. Now I need to back and see more in the Barbie exhibit!

Olympics 2024

Emma started gymnastics this past week at Indiana Elite www.indiana-elite.com. Emma calls it "jump on the mats." I honestly did not think she would participate, but she marched out on the floor like she owned the place. She was jumping, rolling, cheering and dancing like a professional. I couldn't believe it. She showed no fear. The funniest part was her trying to show us her new skills at home. My friend Jamie (who works at Indiana Elite and is the Butler Cheer Coach) thinks Emma may be a future I.U. cheerleader. I am pushing more for the 2024 Olympic games. Time will tell!
